Traditional folk and roots music from the UK, France, Ireland and America

Fairfolk's first gigs were around the Fairfields area of Basingstoke, in pubs, the Irish Club, even the Irish Club car park as a festival fringe event.

Their popularity grew rapidly and they progressed to the Basingstoke Festival, first to the acoustic tent and subsequently to the main stage. Two appearances at the October Fest have cemented their reputation. Fairfolk played at the Anvil for the Mayor's charity event in 2013.

The band is constantly evolving and supports the tradition of folk being an inclusive music form. For bigger events Fairfolk invite other musicians to join the band. Fairfolk are regular players at the Backporch Sessions in Rotherwick and Winchester Folk Club.

Fairfolk have been exploring medieval songs in old english and latin, and recently performed in a 12th century church at Nately Scures at the request of the Rev. Jane Leese to celebrate the appointment of a new curate.
